I’ve added some new dates to the M*A*S*H Timeline, contributed by Big Daddy O’Reilly. I’ve also tried to clarify a few things to make it easier to understand the timeline but I think I may have just made things more confusing. It’s well-known that there’s no way to make the arrival of Colonel Potter and B.J. fit with both earlier and later dates given in the series. Even if some dates are thrown out, you just can’t fit all eleven seasons into a war that lasted three years. It doesn’t work.
I’ve spent the past few days doing maintenance and rearranging some parts of the site. I’ve been trying to think of a way to make it easier for visitors to the site to find their way around. So, for starters, I’ve put together a new site map. I’ve also changed the way the Features page is laid out. There are now preview images in addition to the descriptions.
I’ve also moved the MASHback feature to the Articles section and the Signpost article to the Features section in something called Prop Spotlight.
Looking at the statistics for the site I’ve found that very few people are visiting the individual broadcast history pages. I’m thinking about combining the eleven separate pages into one single broadcast history. I may do that tomorrow. It’s all an attempt to streamline the site.

Here’s the second of two goofs from “Potter’s Retirement,” originally broadcast February 20th, 1978. Again, I’m afraid I don’t know who e-mailed me with this one. But here it is:
When BJ and Hawkeye are looking in Charles foot locker and Hawkeye reads the letter BJ has the scarf wrapped around his shoulders. When they stand up to tell Charles about the secret reports about the colonel, the scarf is just hanging around his shoulders and then after that the scarf is wrapped around his shoulder again and his arms didn’t move.
Here are four images from the scene in question. First, Hawkeye and B.J. are sitting and going through the locker. B.J. has the scarf wrapped around his neck. Then, when Charles confronts them, they stand up and all three are shown from the side and the scarf is still around B.J.’s neck. Next, Hawkeye and B.J. are shown from the waist up in a two shot and the scarf is straight. Finally, another shot of all three from the side and the scarf is once again wrapped around B.J.’s neck.
